1.0 Introduction

Using these materials in GCSE Design & Technology – Resistant Materials

These materials have been created specifically to support the 14 – 19 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment.

However, many areas can be used to enhance your GCSE Design & Technology teaching. These will be relevant to students studying Resistant Materials, who may wish to explore the built environment and tackle project work in this area.

The following table shows how each sub-section links to the main areas and topics in the curriculum:

Stage Activity 1.1 1.2 1.3 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 2.5 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 3.5 4.1 4.2 4.3
