Supporting your students
The activities are designed to support students with a wide range of career aspirations, including craft trades/operatives and management/supervisory roles. They help any student to see how they fit into the ‘bigger’ picture of the construction industry. This provides a context for their learning, as well as presenting new career opportunities.
Students aiming for a craft or technical trade are able to explore the wider industry context in which they will work. They see how their role fits into the bigger design and site teams.
Students aiming for a management or supervisory role can explore the development process to which they will contribute. They can see how different management roles are needed at each stage of a project and how the different areas of a large construction organisation must work together.
